Ras Kits

The house-building kits, or “ras” kits, were a series of kits made by the Rebel Alliance. It contained the necessary parts and pieces for building and repairing X-wing fighters and other starships.

The original ras kit was used to rebuild Luke Skywalker’s T-65 X-wing fighter when it crash landed at Mos Eisley on Tatooine after the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY. Another ras kit was later used to repair his X-wing while he crash landed on Dagobah due to engine damage from a TIE fighter during the Galactic Civil War in 2 ABY.[1]

Some time after this, ras kits became obsolete as starship technology changed into more advanced models that incorporated much of the same technology in their own starship production.
